interesting. If you're using a Tremec 5psd instead of the stock New Venture 3500, does that mean a 6spd could be fit with little further effort?

I am sure we could have gone that route. Originally I thought I could get into the TKO-600 for less than $3k everything included (tranny kit, clutch, etc). Ended up just over $4k. I had a real hard time with the slave cylinder. Broke 5 before finding one that would hold up from a late 80's camaro.

Re: 97 GMC Synoma

Well it's been a while again since I posted anything on the site but here is a little update.
Recently I burnt the stock syty turbo and thanks to John Waller lending me one I was back on the road until my new PT6131 arrived.

List of my latest mods:
PT6131 Turbo
Precision 65# Injectors
TiAL 38mm WG
01 ECM Swap (to keep my gauges)
01 Knock Sensor
3 Bar MAP

All mods are installed and after sorting out several minor issues the street tune is basically complete. The dyno tune is planned for the end of this week. The plan is for 24psi and 100 shot of NOS.

Here are the latest pics and a couple of vids:

Re: 97 GMC Synoma

Thanks guys. As I stated that was a very safe tune because it is my daily driver. I really wanted to go to 24psi but I just felt better about dialing it down to 21psi. At least for now.

I like it...so, how fast is it?

Well I am hoping to find that out this weekend. Supposed to be heading to the track. I have a couple of small issues to deal with first though; turbo oil return line blew apart during the dyno, small coolant leak, and a bad o2 sensor. I will be running on streets so I am not expecting much more than a good trap speed.
