hey Ed, congrats.. time to update your sig! how much boost, and by chance have you dyno'd your motor? Curious how much power these AWD motors are actually making to go mid 9s. i'm guessing 650-700 rwhp.? keep it up.
mike using the formulas for et and weight and or et and mph its in the low 800's . couple things to note about this.
current weight which will change is 3850 with me in it.
only making 19 psi and leaving at low boost to the point of walking off the line.
no timing in it yet either. why we havent done anything yet.... read on
last night was a test to help me get my confidence back since removing the lockright from the front dif.
out of 16 runs
1 sideways full sideview of truck
two launches headed for the right wall.
6 launches headed for the center line (only crossed it once)
(1 of these aborted runs allmost took out the photograher)
need less to say when you start out with a 50 - 50 chance of not going straight it can mess your mental confidence up (read this as scare the crap out of you). It was getting to the point where 2 x i lifted as a involuntary reflex with out any reason to lift. not the mental state you want to be in.
Imagine being afraid to run the left lane because of going left violently...
word of caution to others, if you have a lockrite in your front dif and you want to go fast, remove it. at these power levels it became downright violent and dangerous launching and you could not drive thru it like you could at lower power levels.
