9/11" will be no more...

i've sold a couple, with excellent feedback and happy owners.
1 guy had an atr 900, the others were on stock turbos with all the boltons

Don't worry. I'll have another TC available for people that think the new style TC is too much for them, even though it is a great TC for everyone's application. I think you will change your mind once you see it but just in case, I'll have another great TC for the people that want a TC that will perform great on a stock to moderately modifed SyTy that will take the place of 9/11. I'm still trying to get the standard 9/11 available to us after the new extra high performance 9/11 comes out. I don't want anyone feeling like they are missing out and thus having to settle with something I don't support or even care to consider. I won't leave anyone hanging. Maybe a 10" with a billet cover and a massive clutch or a straight 9" TC. I have one for the 4L80Es that are like this and are wicked strong. I'm working on it so give me a little time.

Thanx for the support and for giving me the chance to support you with the best that there is to offer.

i'd just be happy with a killer massive clutch - anything stalling round 3k is good for me (mine will get there after a coupla secs at 18psi) - i just find the clutches go soft too quickly - i want to feel the tcc like a shift

Yeah, that can be done. There are several clutch materials that can be used according to your application. All have different coeffients of friction and handle heat differently. sually the materials that handle more heat also have less grab. In some cases these are ideal. Like a carbon fiber lining can hold up to bigtime heat but not grab as hard. These are nice when you have a slip that you need for your application. In electronic transmissions like the 4L60E, 4L80E, E4OD, etc. The clutches apply in pulses with corrispond to the duty requested. These smart lockups help keep you from bogging with pulling or if your have a certain torque curve that lockup at cruise results in pulling you down out of the powerband. Carbon Fiber can be a benefit if your race application has the apply characterists figured in. On the opposite end of the spectrem is the fiber clutch. It bites hard but can glaze if it fails to grab a couple of times, then it is all down hill from there. A TC has to be worked quite a bit to be able to handle high power and use the material as well. This material is great if the design is good otherwise it will burn out like almost everyone has experienced. I hope that give some information on what some of the considerations are when building a clutch system in a high performance TC.

Take care,

Brian,

These are great news. Can't wait to see such a TC. A bunch of thanks that you try to keep the cheap ass' like me happy... :D

Peace,

That's cool. Don't worry about trying to be frugal. These trucks are expensive to maintain here, let alone a half a world away. I'll take care of you when the time comes. I know you've been trying to get to have some fun building up your truck when the timing allows you to do it. Give me a heads up if I haven't notified you first.

Take care bro,

Brian
