uhm - i've been an owner since 92 but i've been in the game since Dec 1988 when they debuted at the chicago auto show. I watched the prototype truck all the way thru production and i was even invited down to PAS when they closed the doors to take what i wanted.

Gota show off again Marty? lol jk. How long have we known each other? Its gota be close to 10 years now. I remember the first time I heard about Syclones from the October 1990 issue of Hot Rod. How sad is it that I can remember that date and magazine off the top of my head. I bought my Syclone new November 29 1991, My 93 Typhoon September 23 1993 and my Prototype November 14 1997. Wow its been a lot of years in these trucks. Its been a life changing experience. I have met people that will be life long friends with or without Sy/Tys.

LMAO!

I've had my Ty just over 5 years (bought 05/08/01), so I'm a relative pup. I may be a contender for most miles I've put on it though. I have added almost 45k miles since then (daily driver). Who has the most miles on their SyTy?

Regards,
Michael Pliska

Re: 8 years strong

Owned the truck a year and a few months. But I've been wanting one and looking for that one god, at least 7-8+ years, lol. I remember when they first came out, I saw one. And then got some stuff about them (flyers and such..) and fell in love and had to have one.

I remember hounding my parents every month for years to take me to go see one for sale here and there.

I'll have mine, hopfully until I get old and cant drive anymore. I'll sell my Camaro, and my toolbox and everything else before I sell the truck.

I think I'm closing in on 8 years of a non-running truck.... I think I was only a few months ahead of you. Can't remember when I bought mine.

Re: 8 years strong

Wow, seven years for me as of June 18th. Seen LOTS of people both good and bad, come and go. Suffered the "love hate relationship" that comes from owning these things. Nothing like making a vehicle payment on something that you can't even drive for over two years :(... I have NO IDEA how you folks that have more than one do it. I have enough headaches owning just ONE truck. Met some really GREAT people in my travels though and forged some friendships that will last a lifetime. I have invested enough blood, sweat and tears that I will ALWAYS own syclone 2932...
