Guys,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but thought this was REALLY important since we seem to go through so many trannies in these things.

I've been reading through this article and thinking about all the people that have written to me and all the other people who have been victims of shops (disconnecting TV cables and driving it that way) and felt that people must see this.
Even if you don't pull your tranny. Even if a shop puts in your tranny. You need to know HOW to set it properly so you can do it yourself or explain to the shop why you think they should check it again. This is important for the guys who adjust their TV cables the way we all have shown but their trannies STILL don't act right. The shop that put in my tranny had the TV cable adjusted in almost five "clicks". Wouldn't shift out first until almost 20 mph under minimum throttle. I immediately had to adjust it. They thought because it was a "performance" transmission that it was supposed to shift like that. I'm sure the clutches in my transmission appreciated their wisdom.

Long boring read but if you don't want your tranny to burn up after a rebuild, then take a look.
If you've modified your governor for different shift points, you'll need to see this too.
Take care,
Blake

George,

Damn, this is certainly all U will ever need to know about the TV cable system. I was going to copy it, but it's probably about 30-40 pages. Thanx for publishing this.
