not that big. only a 74.

But a good/big turbo helps lots

Could you tell us a little more info on the turbo,A/R's, turbine wheel, compressor wheel, etc.
Thanks
Also the Methanol injection ,,,is that SMC??
Thanks!!

what do you guys use for tuning? i have a slightly similar build.

We use tunercat with some modifications. PM Nolan (10secty) or myself for more detials. Nolan is responsible for all the tuning in our shop.

Six-is-Enough

Use to do a little Boost
Re: 700hp Dyno Video

That is awesome #'s. On 91 octane and methanol no less!!!

At what RPM was peak HP and Peak TQ made it? If you don't mine to share.

Syclone#2960

What ever it takes!!

Very Funny!

Eagle Rods, Forged Pistons, Stock Crank, Stock Block w/4 bolt caps, custom camshaft, fully ported vortecs.................and yes a stock ecm.

We just finished the last dyno pull (about 5 min ago)on the twin to this engine and we made more power than the first that you see in this video.

738hp / 904 ft.lbs @ 27psi (91 pump and methanol)

Yes, it does say 904 ft.lbs.

So 23% drivetrain loss= 568hp/696 Tq. to the wheels?

OK, time out. Will one of you engineer types (true) please comment on whether or not Powertrain Loss should be expressed as a percentage or fixed value (i.e. 23% vs. 50hp)?

I can't help but think that for a given engine speed, the PT Loss should be the same for a 250hp output or a 500hp output engine (identical componets from the flexplate to the tires).

Oh, and BTW, what was the peak HP and Torque Rpm for that monster?

Re: 700hp Dyno Video

Ok lets start to fill every one on the details.

Ok I will try to fill in all the blanks here.

The motor is our ported vortec. 4 bolt main build. It has ported stock exhaust manifolds
( ported by me), Stock intake ported by Mark, Turbo is a PTE PT-74 with a Q wheel. I polised the exhaut housing and enlarged the exhaust wastgate hole. The down pipe is from RPM and is a piece of art. From there not much else to tell ya. I use tuner cat and programmer to dial in my tunes with a ostrisch. I set up air fuel to be in the 12-1 range and then run as mush meth as I can before it breaks up. So air/fuel will be in the 9.5/1 range.

Give it timing and boost and you will make power simple. Imagine if it where a bowtie block, billet crank and broxids heads with a larger turbo. Oh shit that is the next one stay tuned it just gets better.

HELL YEA I GOT BOOST!

I wish ya'll were closer Nolan.....I'm actually building the billet crank, bowtie block, brodix head motor.....I could really use your assistance on tuning when I'm ready....

But you're a little ways out there.....lol

800hp.

Nolan

what combo did you run, i got planned a Crower billet crank, K1 billet rods, Ross 4.003 pistons, Brodix heads, Syclone 2 piece intake, 58mm throttle body. But i'm doing a full size truck and i am debting on the syclones single turbo set up of a procharger
