Dunno why I always seem to get multiple races in the same night and not even a glance other nights. Nothing super exciting tonite, but some kills nonetheless......
My truck was in slow, good mileage, street form (exhaust capped, 13 psi, low timing, etc....), anywho.....
Went to Savannah to see a buddy and around midnight I leave for home. Get to the last redlight heading outta town and a Ram SST pulls beside me. He keeps looking over and giving this snicker. I didn't like it so I jump on it from vacuum when the light turns green and ruined him. Got so far ahead that I would've forgotten about him had it not been for his nappy exhaust from him trying to catch up. I get out of it around 70 and minutes later he catches up and gives the "WTF was that?" look but continues to rev his engine. He turns off and I continue on.
No less that 2-3 minutes later a group of kids in a '69 Mustang Mach 1 (351W) come up to me and look hard at the truck (prolly saw me and the previous truck). They fall back about a car length and then come lunging forward trying to get me to race. Traffic was heavy so I decide to ignore them. I turn off of 516/Lyons onto I-16, and at that intersection there is a brief stretch of 3 lane road. I'm following some new sedan and this Mustang is behind me, almost in the bed of my truck. So when we merge onto this 3 lane spot, I jump out to the farthest lane and punch it (from about 35-40). The sedan I was behind falls in behind me (to get out of the way of the Mustang) and the kid in the Mustang pulls some 2F2F move (3 lane swerving) to try and get behind me. He's about 8-9 car lengths back at this point (~70-80 mph) and losing ground quickly, but I have to get out of it for fear of cops (they police this area heavily due to this type of thing  ). The kid comes up next to me and revs his engine. His passengers are breaking their necks to get a look. I give him the thumbs up, he jumps on it, and I (making sure nothing was close behind me) jump on the brakes, slowing to about 20. He turns off at the next offramp and heads back into town. I head home.
All I wanted from tonite was to go home peacefully and get I raced, but when I go out looking for races, their nowhere to be found. At least I won both races handily.
