i was wonder why the cargo compacity on the syclones is 500lbs and if you over load it what is the main concern? Is it drivshaft angle or suspension damage??

Re: 500lb Weight Limit

Because your not supposto use the Syclone as a truck, even though many people do and have had a lot more than 500lbs in them.

I think the drive shaft angles is the biggest concern but I'm not 100% sure.

I threw my 600 lbs motorcycle in the back of my truck, and had trouble closing my driver's door. :)

First problem your going to have is the suspension bottoming out and perhaps taking out the cladding. Second is the transmission, which is already overstress is stock form.

Re: 500lb Weight Limit

I'll be getting the full built 4l80e and i've also got the rpm rear coilover kit which still uses the leaf springs so I have about 5 inches of wheel gap in the rear as it sits. I've tried putting 800lbs in there and it still has like 2-3 inches wheel gap so I dont think i'll be bottoming out the suspension anytime soon. What would be the problem with say towing 2 jet ski's? Just the tranny?
