put my ultimate guage style 50#injector chip in and it runs good. my little red light that is in the middle of the guage stays on all the time. i thought this was supposed to signal kr? using my scanner it says i am not getting any kr? also what is a good fuel pressure to start at with ultimate 50# for stock heads cam? thanks

As for the base FP. Start with 48-50 psi with the vacuum line disconnected.

The red led on the gauge is the knock led indeed. Connect a scan tool while the truck idles and tap with something on the lower intake. You should see knock detected on the scan tool. If you not, you have a problem with the knock sensor connection or with the sensor itself. Check the sensor's line (blue one) connected at all first...

for 50# ultimate - start with 43# base FP.

The knock LED should *NOT* be on all the time. Do you have your stock chip piggybacked correctly ?

Re: 50# guage style ultimate question?

Nobody answered this and I am having the same problem with the Ultimate chip I just installed. Datamaster shows no knock, and there's nothing audible going on. Does anybody know why the knock LED would be permanently on?

EDIT: The knock counts increase on datamaster when the back of the intake is hit, but the light doesn't blink out. It stays on. I'm going to go test drive here in a second and I will post back what happens.

Re: 50# guage style ultimate question?

This is all a 50#, stock head, gauge style ultimate, btw.

The test run gave only 8 psi because I don't have a boost controller installed yet and the knock LED is still constantly on.

Email has been sent. If anybody has any ideas, please post what might help. Everything is working great after installing a DIY boost controller other than the knock LED.
