After last year trying every govonor trick/spring/weight .. Dentent setting detent trick/spings ect to the rebuilt 700R in her Typhoon I gave up trying to make it shift where I wanted it to part throttle and WOT. It's impossible....

So about this time last year Heather was in the TBSS and I was in the Typhoon... we got paired up at a stop light and she knew it was on.... We took off.. me not even building boost and I killed her TBSS BAD. It was a slaughter.... Any how.. I'd have been laughing all the way home but the trans must not have liked the measly 14psi I had it set at and when I got to the driveway it acted funny.. Then the next day on the way to the shop it didn't have 3/4gears.... It's a sign... It's been sitting back in the barn since.

I picked up a 1994 4wd 4L60E case and had 2000 4L60E guts put in it. This way It will bolt up to the stock Typhoon T-case like stock and internally I will work like a 2000 4L60E.
I have a 2000 Blazer ECM which I weeded the ECM harness so It just has the inputs for Transmission, RPM.Coolant temp,Speedo, and TPS. (OBD2 connector too)
I'll install the ECM under the rear seat and run my wires up to ECM(FastXFI) and I should be able to program the Stock 2000 ECM with HPTuners.
The normal driving stuff won't change much.. I'll tweak the RPM shift points when I want them and some of the Pressures...
This trans should drive like a normal truck and shift exactly where I want it.
I'm going to try and get it all hooked up with in the next couple weeks and have results...

It's a less expensive approach to the 4L80E with what should be good driveability and better reliabilty than a stock 700R...

If this doesn't work I'm ripping everything out and going Durimax.

Re: 4l60e

Final Update:

Here is the hook up guys....

Any newer year of ECM can be used.... Older one's are ok too.. this is directed to 98up.

Need OBD2 connector... HPTuners.
TPS signal input (Typical 3wire hookup)
Coolant Temp input(one wire hook up)
RPM input (off dizzy to crank sensor input on newer ECM's)
Speedo input (Two wires off Speedo Output)

So far so good on the conversion. Got it running today.
I'll have more info and tune as I go along but she shifts!
Scott~
