A friend of mine is going to install a valve body kit in his 99 suburban and I just want to have a diagram of where the checkballs go before we get started. Can anyone send me one? SBNova@Yahoo.com thanks, Jim

Look at the instructions and FOLLOW THEM!! Most likely they will change where the check balls go. Especially since there is one IN the valvebody depending on which year you have. I mean actually IN a valve lineup.

George, Its not a shift kit, its that kit to help eliminate the PWM TCC lockup problems. I put one in my 1997 Tahoe years ago, and I just cant remember if the instructions came with the checkball locations. My friend just ordered the kit and doesnt have it yet.

Look at the case side and valvebody side. It sounds like you've got a sonnax kit.

99% of the time when guys say valvebody kit, they are talking about a shift kit. If you need help in the future, try to put the name of the kit like I did above and you'll get better help.

Those are good good links. Save all those word and PDF docs.
Make sure you find out if that is a serviced valvebody or not. There is a lot of info on sonnax's website with instruction sheets. One kit doesn't fit all unfortunately.

The kit is a Transgo. I have used it myself years ago, and when my friend started having similar problems I recommended it to him. I actually recommended he use it before he started having the problems! Anyway, I couldnt remember the name of the kit, or how good the instructions were when I did mine. He finally got it and it shows all the suggested locations for the checkballs. Those are some great links you guys posted, I really appreciate it.
