#4 plug

So i had the spark plugs and cap/rotor changed today and the mechanic told me the #4 plug was fouled. He didn't do a compression check because it wasnt on the list of things I wanted done and they didnt call and ask me if I wanted it done (not happy with them) :rant:

Anyway what would cause that?

A number of things could cause that. Was the plug lean fouled or rich?

Looks like oil.

need a leak down test if it's oil so you can test if its rings or valve seats.

Did the engine have a miss? Has it been using oil?

#4 plug on my wife's Blazer looked the same.She needs valve seals.

Yeah I am thinking valves too. It spits alittle white smoke on startup.

The reason I got the plugs and cap/rotor done was after a little race between my buddies 94 Z28 6speed. He put about 2 cars on me to 100mph. I just think this truck isnt running quite right. It also holds about 7 psi then jumps to 15 then backs off to about 12. :squint: I've got the datalogger system just need to get the XP operating system put on my laptop that has Vista on it.
