4 inch exhaust

I was thinking of having a 4inch exhaust made for my truck. does anyone on this forum have a 4inch exhaust on there sy?

No need unless you going for major HP (read not really a street build or street driveable). A 3" exhaust will take you into the low 10's high 9's. Anyone feel free to jump in and let him know the "MAX LIMIT" of 3" exhaust? Oh and 4" would be hard to fit BTW.

5" fits, seen it at home coming last year so 4 should fit as well. but like said a single 3" will go 9s

I have a 3.5"dp and 4" exaust and it works good. I have more clearance with the 3.5"dp than I did with the 3"atr dp.

I have a 4" dp with a 4" QTEC, and then it necks down into a 3" exhaust. It's nasty as all hell with the QTEC open, but fairly well mannered with it closed

thanks for the replys. i will be making the exhaust myself so the price diffencre between 3'' and 4'' is so little i prefer to go with a 4inch. can sone one post a pic of there exhaust on the truck. it does not matter if it is 3 or 4 inch i just need to get some design idea's.

do you guys with 4 inch exhaust run it over the rear axle? do you guys have any pics of your 4 inch tipsfrom the back of the truck?

I have three inch exhaust that I had made when I first purchased my truck 5 or 6 years ago.. it goes over the axle

Mine dumps in front of the axle. and is loud as hell. I put a race bullet on it but it doesnt do much for making it quite. If it had the hummpty hump idle of a v8 it would be ok.
