4 bolt main

ok i searched the forums didnt find what i was looking for is there any difference from the sy ty main caps to a regualr 4.3 block because i was looking at doing a 4 bolt conversion and was wondering if there was any difference i didnt think there was but thought i would ask

The syty uses a standard LB4 4.3 block and caps. and they are all 2 bolts :lol:
:2cents: IF you do the 4 bolt conversion, the cap closest to the dipstick is going to have to be notched to clear the dipstick (you can see it on the third from the left here)

God I wish they made our blocks deep skirts.

So you know how down right awesome that would be. We could not only get a griddle. But probably go 6 bolt main's.

haha, that would be pretty sweet. But somehow I don't think they'll be making an LSx v6 anytime soon :lol:

I'd settle with just the deep skirt then, like the buick guys have *sigh* stock. lol.

Syclones have special main caps from the factory. they are nodular iron. when converting to 4 bolts in the center you use regular sbc conversion caps and a std 2 bolt steel cap on the front.
