We went to Costco last night and got all the fixings for the BBQ. It looks like it's gonna be 30*C+ so bring your shorts for the pool :tup:

Kind of off topic but there is a chance that the two newest Canadian Tys will be in town and for sale if anyone is looking to buy one in the near future.

Just another reason to attend for the people looking for a Ty that's already here.

Well..........Thank you to everyone that came out!! I hope you all had a great time.

It was a hot 37*C, so the trucks were a little slower than they could have been.
Steve ran a 11.08 in his Sy and took home the trophy for the Quickest Modified Truck.
Gord's ran a 13.87 in his Sy and took home the trophy for the Quickest Stock Truck.
Jeff and his Sy took the Farthest Distance award for coming all the way from Abbotsford B.C
My little red truck was the proud recipient of the Best Appearing Truck

All I can say was, holy shit it was hot!


Lots of fun again...............now we'll see if we can make it to the Kansas Nats. All depends on when our first baby decides to enter the world. Hopefully soon.

Turn out was pretty good, but should have been better, we had 11 show up from all over the province and Jeff from B.C. Should have been better because we have 15 trucks in Edmonton alone and 30+ in the province..........maybe next year.

Wow, What a great time I had.

Thanks again to Cam, Mark and everyone else who made all of the arrangements.

Memories of note:
1-Learning how to operate Datamaster on the drive from Red Deer to Edmonton.
2- Cruising around Edmonton until 1am
3- (Almost) Running at least a dozen Red lights to keep up with the pack.
4-Having to decide between Mcdonalds and chasing down several Mustangs.
5-Hearing a high power Sy leave the lights with an exhaust cutout pointed right at my head.
6-Realizing that Vince was driving a manual car while taking videos AND keeping up with some very spirited drivers.
7- After hundreds of runs down the 1/4 mile, I walked down it for the first time. I had no idea how sticky VHT was.
8-Nolan losing his sandals on the VHT caked track (See above)
9-Paul kindly supplying me with enough "Mothers Back-to-Black" to make my Sy presentable.
10-Matt kindly suppling all of us with enough water to ward off heat stroke.
11-Swimming in Cams pool and comparing sunburns.


It was great to put a face to a name for many of the board members that I had not yet met.
Thanks again guys, I had a blast.
