The Cummins guys brag about thier 900 hp trucks because they can. To make that kind of power out of an engine is insane, let alone a heavy duty truck engine. I personally like the Cummins engines because they will and do outlast the trucks thier put in. 500+ hp out of a durable engine is worth applauding.:tup:

Oh i love the Cummins if i had the money I would have one right now to tow my TY around to all the gatherings and track. But I do not think I would put all that money in to a Cummins to run 11's that money would surley gt my TY into the 10's Just my thoughts. But 500 or 900 hp out of a Cummins man.....

My only beef with a lot of the guys that own diesel trucks that are running fast times (and this isnt all of them) but many seem to have no respect for anything else out on the road. Apparently all that horse power and torque has gotten to their heads and nothing is better or faster than their truck. They are very cool, and some are fast but like "Tytilidie" said I wouldnt hesitate to put someone like that in their place. Ive run into a lot of people that talk sh!t about all these different cars and say they arent impressive b/c their "turbo diesel truck" (and by the way they always have to include that) can do xx.xx in the 1/4. I cant stand the ignorance that I hear from a lot of these owners. Like I said I have respect for these trucks and they are cool, and fast, and some I day plan on owning one myself.....so basically I have just wasted your time and energy in reading this b/c I have completely forgotten what I was arguing about, and I just realized that I contradicted myself, I think. Im going to bed

This is my main problem with these guys. You nailed it right on the head. Truthfully I dont really care to brag about kills like this but its their attitude that makes we want to.

agree with both you guys. i want one some day too, but you know eventually you'll be the same in the sense that you'll feel like the badass on the road (well, i guess i already do, but you know what i mean). havin a big lifted diesel just makes you wanna run someone off the road and start a fight, haha.

I don't know about you guys, but most guys I run into at the track running 11's, don't have anything to do with people that are running slower, now matter what they have. An 11 second truck is an 11 second truck. Most of these Big Diesels, don't run good, they are just lifted, and could learn a lesson from the last seens of the Movie "Cars". "Give me 20 miles!" :rotf: Anyhow. My friend who owns an 11 second Diesel, is not like that at all, and as a matter of fact, Loves the Typhoon and GN. His two favorite rides. His truck looks like a red kneck, paint peeled off POS, until he blows your A double S off the road. Not meaning you who are reading this post. Just generalizing. Think about it. Who would ever think a POS looking longbed would dominate them. The feeling of doing that is just awesome, expecially when it is an $80,000.00 Carrera 4. :tup:
