in Brazil at the same time!!!!!!!!!

I can tell you guys that this is rare. There are only 10 or 12 trucks here and 3 of them
are FS right now.
I just wish I had the money now. It would be nice to have a spare for parts.
For prices in USD, just divide it for 2.

i am planning a trip to rio... When is the best time to go?

Come on summer, begining of the year. There's Carnaval too, usually on February. Be careful the places you go, though.

LMK when you're coming, I live in the south of Brazil and is, by far, the best part.
Remember, all the models come from the south.
I'm 45 minutes away flying from Sao Paulo

Hey, tell me, what is the area of Rio De Janeiro all about? Seems there are really cheap ocean side homes there? Is it safe there? Is it a growing area? Looks beautiful. My business is building more and more equipment for Brazil so maybe I will have an opportunity to go there one day soon.

Thanks,

Vince

Check your six! Gotta be careful, lots of bandito's :2gun: and Americans / anyone with money or ties to the outside is can be a target for kidnapping / ransom. Been there done that. Any place in South America, if you are an outsider can be bad. The abduction rate is down right now due to serious government involvement but still real high compared to other "prone" countries. Not trying to scare anyone and no offence to pbrito, just saying to be careful and use common sense. It helps to have a friend to hang with like he was mentioning.

On the bright side, Carnival / Festival and the beautiful women  and parties really ROCK

Well, you are partially (80% ) right. There are places in Rio and Sao Paulo that you have to avoid and places you cannot go at all. But I´ve been in Rio several times with no problems and I look like a foreign. As you said, the best thing is to have a native friend to hang with.

That´s why I always recomend the south. No "bandidos" here, beautiful beaches, people is much more polite and the women oohhh the women here are the best in the world :D

Kidnap rating in the south is compared to any other "first world country"

How is the city of Marica? Safe? Tourist area?

Marica is not known as a tourist area. They are remodeling the city and is growing
fast the last couple of years. I don´t think is that beautiful but can be a good investment for
the future if the money continues to arrive. I wouldn´t bet though.

There are hundreds of other places that I would invest here, specially on the beach. But who knows, I´m not an investor

p.s. if I was you, I would come here and spend a good 10-14 days. You are more than welcome to stay in my house. Just so you know, I live in the best beach in the south ;)

Yea, sorry your right. I didn't mean to generalize. The south of Brazil is much better. I was talking about the major city areas and where the rebels hang in the moutain areas

Hey James, no need to apologize.
We call the mountains with banditos, "favelas". And they are not rebels, they are drug dealers and drug addicteds that can :2gun: you if you don´t give them your sunglasses or even your cap.
