ok guys, fasten seatbelts :

dropped the fuel-tank today and guess what - one son of a bitch poored sand in my tank ...
... clogged the "sock" of the fuelpump and the fuelfilter, AND lotsa sand inside of the tank

cleaned it out for 2-3 hrs :steamer: besides the nice work for the tank in and out thing !!

oh boy, what a fawk ...

anyways, found the prob out, solved it, mounted lockable fillercap - seems to be good now ...

thanks a bunch for ya help guys

WOW! What a suprising find? I'm glad you found it in the tank and not in the motor. What an ASS!

Change your fuel filter again in a month or so... you'll be picking up a bunch of crud for a while.

I'd pull the tank again in another 6-8 months and check the sock. No matter how well you think you clean them, sand is evil stuff. There's still some hiding.

... thanks for ya condolence guys ;)

yes, will swap all the stuff again ASAP (new 255FP + racetronix-kit on the way !!) ... meanwhile just a so-and-so-solution to keep the truck on the road *hehe*

... i knew i'll have to sacrifice the new old pump including the sock and the fuelfilter, which is in right now :squint:

just to keep my Ty healthy and strong :woot:

cheers,pat.
