what i found out today (by turning the FP to 48psi at idle on fuelpressure gauge) :

FP@WOT ~70psi - BUT : falls down to ~45psi when staying on pedal

whats going on - do things work like they should -or what can cause this *confused* ??

TIA,pat.

btw.: stock chip and turbo, 255 FP + AFPR

What is the mileage on the truck? -Condition of truck?

Were the fuel filter(s) ever changed?

Re: 2nd basic Q ... please help :(

if you had an under 1/2 of a tank, that might be the problem, otherwise you might want to check your feulpump it's grounds

Things to check, in no particular order:

Voltage/wiring back to pump inadequate.
Bad ground somewhere.
Plugged fuel filter
Bad pump.
FPR failing

Are you really running 22psi boost? That'd be a bad thing with fuel pressure dropping off...

not 22psi ... running 15psi (stock setup) - used to run 44psi at idle but O2mV at WOT where around 830 so i thought turning fuelpress up a bit would be nice ?!

... puuh, not the best options - i hope is was the empty tank thing

Yup. I never drive my truck than with less than 1/2 a tank. If I do, it doesn't get launched until after I fill up... This is especially true if your truck has been lowered since the fuel can slosh away from the pump easier since the fuel doesn't have to go "uphill".

... please let it be true !!

will fill'er up and see

btw.: truck is lowered a lil bit at front, and floored it from a deadstop w/o launching ...

Re: 2nd basic Q ... please help :(

UPDATE : filled it up to the roof, tried some WOTs - nearly same problems

what DM says :

Volts around 13
BPW around 15
AFR 11,8

but O2mV's won't rise (turned FP from 44 to 48psi @ idle) - still around 830 ...

can the problem be detected via DM - what should i look at and what should i read there ??

what the gauges say :

boost 15psi @ WOT
fuelpress 70 down to 50 psi @ WOT

... WHAT THE FAWK IS GOING ON ???

:steamer: :steamer: :steamer:

is it possible that it's kinda acceleration enrichment ??
( not very similar with how the computer is thinking )

does it help to share the file ??

oh please help :(

pat.

70 psi makes no sense... your WOT fuel pressure at 15 psi should be 44+ 15 = 59.
At 48 base it should be 63.

This sounds like a flaky FPR to me. If you still have the stocker lying around, put it on and see what it does.

Also, air in the FP gauge lines can cause odd-ball readings. Purge as much as you can.

Re: 2nd basic Q ... please help :(

UPDATE :

swapped FPR, set to 40psi at idle ...

... problem still there - fuelpress goes up to 65psi at WOT and falls down to 40psi when still nailed :squint:

recognized that the fuelpump ( only 2 mths old ) is really loud now ... will drop the tank next week and have a look ...

any other options ???

TIA,pat.

Try calling Racetronix tech support.

They may have some ideas.

Re: 2nd basic Q ... please help - UPDATE !!

Check the vacumm/boost line going into the FPR for leaks.

You can also rig up something (bicycle pump, tire valve stem and some vacumm lines) to add boost to the FPR instead of you driving wot.
