25g turbo thread

I just recently discovered this turbo. It is a Mitsubishi turbo that bolts right up to our stock trucks. It has some real impressive numbers. I did do a search on the forum about the 25g but really did not come up with any good info in it.
What is the story on this turbo? Is there any fitment problems with the AC bracket? How laggy is it with the stock stall? What sort of times have people laid down with it? I’m just highly curious about this turbo. Maybe I should be the one to take the first step on recording info now how well it works with a stock block and stall.

Re: 25g turbo thread

From what I have read, it doesn't seem much better than a 20g. However, I only know of one board member that had one and that was RSpengler. He no longer owns his truck but sold it to it STiffler(Terry), who I don't think comes on here anymore. They would be the ones to ask I guess. Only problem there is, from what I remember, neither one of them could ever get that truck to run right.

Re: 25g turbo thread

What exhaust trim works the best for our stock trucks? Im looking at a 74 trim exhaust trubine and 60 trim compressor. That will take I bit to spool that up I think. Should come on strong top end.

It looks a lot bigger to me. The 20g is rated for 450hp and the 25g is like 600......

I use a 60-1 compressor wheel, an "H" turbine wheel w/a 12 CM turbine housing on my stock engine & trans.

I would say a 57 MM compressor wheel,an "H turbine wheel, & a 12 CM turbine housing is the biggest for a stock converter.

I do like this combo but I'd prefer a 10cm on stock motors. 12 I think would be a bit lagy on purely stock trucks.

I had the 14cm housing you sold me with a "stock" 2500 converter and it spooled pretty damn good I though. The converter was stock they just re adjusted the stall.

Re: 25g turbo thread

Not sure..... I just look at how much boost usually. I can make 10 psi on the line and then I push through the breaks. My back tire also starts to turn. I think 10psi actually hurts me because I get some wheel spin.

Ok, next time you do that,,,,,, look @ what RPM you are at.
