2425 Owner

Hi everyone, I'm a Canadian "Ty" Owner, who in ' 93, dearly wanted to buy and own a Ty. Because of the "Border Thing", I couldn't afford, or obtain one, so I waited.... and then suddenly, five years ago, one became available. [/FONT]Teal(COLOR=Teal)xxx/COLOR)(COLOR=Teal)xxx(/COLOR) Guess what happened next?
Mine is basically stock with the exeption of a K&N and S.S. Cat-Back Exhaust. It needed a bit of TLC, so, I re-finished the wheels, did a little paint work and some interior panel replacing. ( This was easy as all interior pieces are still in stock)
I couldn't quite leave well enough alone, so when the wheels were being re-finished, I had the centre's painted to match the body paint, (Teal) Also, a cowl induction hood was added. (A Must!)
In the Future, I'm going to "Detail It", and add some much needed "Paint Tricks" that I think this machine really needs.
What do you think? Paint can always be replaced.

Re: 2425 Owner

Heck yeah it can. The real value is what you see the trucks as in your mind, not what everyone else thinks (but should be considered)
As far as paint, yes it can be redone over and over again, so its basically up to your taste.
Keep in mind that your taste may differ from the next guys and realize that the value from your perception may not be the same as say someone you intend to sell the truck to. That may be your only issue, resale, but, if you are not thinking of going that route for a while, more power to ya, have fun, welcome to the community.

Welcome to the group, it's now official that you are like so many other owners that are learning all about the love-hate relationship that exist with these trucks.

Post up some pics, reminds me of when I first bought mine. The original owner painted everything on the rims teal except for the center caps and lip of the rim.Looked to "ghetto" for me,so I added the camaro ss 10 spokes, and have been ever so slowly stripping the stockers to refinish them to stock.
