I didnt purposely run her towards the fence, I know better than that as well. Mandi says her 2 horses are spoiled and dont like to get out of eyesight of each other. As I was walking her back, I guess she freaked and started to take off. I was fighting to yank the guide rope to get her to stop, but she was already in gear and going regardless of what I was doing. When I saw that she wasnt going to stop until the fence, I kicked out of the stirrups and prepped for a ride. She skidded to a stop and I went up and over. Inertia is a bitch.

Thankfully I saw it coming, didnt freak out and got ready for flight. I tucked and rolled and slide into the shed door. I got right up went back over and gave Lady some pets and showed her I was alright and it was an accident. She didnt do it on purpose Im sure, she got scared, cant get mad at her for that. One of my hands hurt yesterday, but its better today. I did get lucky, no denying that. Wont stop me from riding again, shit happens.

Thanks everyone, lots of fun, nice rides, great food. Total driven 678 miles, driving time 4:20 going 307 miles with two stops, returning 4:30 302 miles one stop. No trouble, Z28 averaged just over 25 mpg, average speed just about 70 mph door to door including the stops. I'll have the Sy finished and the Ty back on the road with updated electronics before our next event.

The King family had a blast ,big thanks again to the Harmons for hosting their first meet . November will be here soon to all the stragglers that couldnt make it . More noob appreances would be appreciated in the future , this is how we all get to meet you guys . We got Rje's green ty running on code 59 while hanging out . Got a vac kit installed and soem other odds and ends .

Sorry my big suprise couldnt make it . Extra time last week and weather conditions just didnt allow me enough time to complete it . Be on the lookout soon . Thanks again !!

Thanks to everyone who showed up!!!!....We had a blast!.....The kids had a blast!

Sonny's BBQ catering was the BOMB...Fatman love his ribs...hmmmm mmmmm

We pretty much accomplished everything for a great meet and everything bad...lol

#1...Only a couple kids got hurt and a little bit of sun

#2....Adam was the only one to get injured..and learned how to fly free of charge...lmao

#3...2 ty's showed up non running and drove down the road on there own free will :tup:

#4...The afternoon downpoor kinda ruined things but everyone was cool and moved conversation to the garage and house while the rain cooled things down.

#5....a deputy sherriff showed up......"friendsof ours, but freaked some people out"

#6...Some-how 2 cases of yuenglings (beer) disapeared...;)

#7...We all manged to finally disperse the party around 2 am

#8....Woke up at around 6:30 am to help danny finish up a few little things on his ty and load it up on the trailer (wich we gave him a..i told you it wont work before he left) to take back down to miami.

#9....got the phone call from danny that the trailer fell off the truck a couple miles from the house.

#10...Went and got the trailer and ty with the dually....ate lunch.....and mandi is now on her way to miami to deliver danny's ty safely for him....hopefully she will be home around 1 or 2 am


OVERALL......IT WAS FRICKIN AWSOME!!!!!

Thanks for hosting Harmon's it was a great time. Finally got to put some faces with names. Now if i can only get the "shit box" done all will be well.

You where correct gary!....it was the ignition module. he got to drive his ty with some real powa for the first time. Poor guy walked around with wood until his near death experience.

trailer is fine........dan might be buyin you a new jack though...it still works but a little bent. I checked over the whole trailer before i let mandi tow it down there.

but the good news is i got the GN out of the body shop sat. hopefully now more deer hunting with it

What a Great time!!
This was my first SyTy Memorial Day Picnic.
The people were very friendly, the food was awesome, and they made me feel at home.
Kids and Adults took advantage of the Bounce House and Water Slide..
I had driven 4 hours, towing a 24’ trailer, but it was worth every minute.
Talk about a SyTy knowledge base, just listening to these guys talk about their trucks was amazing.
There wasn’t anything these guys didn’t know about these trucks.
Upon arrival, my 93 Green Typhoon with 70k miles was not running, I had to winch it in the trailer.
First thing, SYO237 and Harmon helped me relocate my ECM and the Ostrich to the glove box.
It was lunchtime, Ribs, Pulled Pork, Beans, Slaw and dessert, way too much food.
MRKING manned the laptop and started installing the needed software, then downloaded a “Bin” file
I had a few issues with my vacuum hoses; sytyarchives jumped in and replumbed everything.
I highly recommend their vacuum hose kit, it was high quality.
Unfortunately, the rain delayed things alittle, but it gave us more time to shoot the bull about our cars.
It started getting dark, but that didn’t stop the guys from working on my truck, they were determined to get my car started.
They broke out the lights and kept going, then I heard with sweetest sound, my car idling on its own.
I was able to drive my car in the trailer. Major accomplishment!!!
At one point, Harmon invited me to stay over and he would start tuning the next day, how awesome was that. I have a couple issues that surfaced including a “small” exhaust leak and wiring.

I will attending next year’s picnic for sure, and would highly recommend it to others. It was a Great time!
