All they would have to do is say it's "based" on the Typhoon platform. WIth it already being in the system as "Typhoon", I'd imagine they overcome that roadblock. The Impala that they dicked up is the first car that comes to mind. I'd have to see it first. Its obvious they don't do any marketing research before designing a vehicle.

They can build a truck based on it but they cannot use the name thats why syclone is spelled with a S mercury still owns cyclone

Kinda like how the F-bodies went on such a long hiatus... Canada owned the names camaro / firebird until the end of 06 because that was the only way GM could close the plant
