Did GMHTP show up this year? :dunno:

I happily subscribed last year, but they are on a DRY run as far as SyTy content. I don't think there's even been mention of SyTys in the last 4 issues.

I beleive Robert met with the magazine sometime before the Nats. They did not send Scott out again because he had too much fun last time. Seriously.

Yep, I was there in 2000. I believe it is the year that GM showed up with their trucks. You could not drive anywhere without seeing another syty just driving around town. Kinda freaky, in a good way.

I bought my truck in Topeka Kansas from a collector because my big brother convinced me of their "rarity and quickness".
As I drove it home through K.C. in 2000 I was SO bummed as I saw HANDFULS of SY/Yys running around that I called my brother and bitched him out for not knowing his $hit !! lol. :rotf:
He called me back and said he'd just heard the SY/TY Nats were being held there. By then I was back in Springfield Mo. :squint:
It was until this year, some 6 years later that I made it to my first. I'm SO glad I did. Met a ton of great people, learned ALOT ! And got to witness some of our fastest trucks from around the World....how cool is that ?!!
What a mischeivious bunch some of them are too. I'm thinking of 3-4 in particular.... ;)

I will admit I have admiration for how well and clean you ate that fish, or so the swedes call it.

I was the one that got rid of the can. HOLY SMOKES it stunk up close, let alone holding the can. I can't imagine actually eating some of it.

We hope to see you again.

West Coast Nats huh....... I think we do hear this story every year

Have a west coast event, but dont associate it with Nats or hold it anywhere around the time Nats will be.

It will never be like Nats and you can e-mail time slips and send all the videos you want, it will never replace heads up competition.

It makes me laugh that NASTE can have a caravan of 7 trucks and 15 owners travel 1200+ miles, Canada can send a representitive to ride solo for 1800+ miles in a low mileage Red/Red and even Sweden manages to send a truck over with 4 1/2 people, yet its STILL just too damn far for California to show up with a truck the past few years :rotf:

I was going to call you on this because of the Cali crew that did show up - but you are correct they were rolling Mopar style. The last one I can remember is Ghettosled and Typhool in '04(?).

hahaha Vinny, are you sure you wouldnt be in the next seat over from smaug yourself?

definately awesome to finally meet you and of course it wouldnt have been the same without you, even without the fish incident. Youre definately one to stand out in a crowd even without the help of your red shirt and white hat.

Ill look into the spelling for ya and the avatars will come later, Im still resulting from a little truck lag and I have to run out for a bit, but Ill mess around a little tonight with them.

Vinny is the only guy I know with a big enough set to walk around a primarily domestic event with a bright red NISMO shirt on.

no no no, believe me im WAY glad that Sean, Andrew and a couple other SoCal guys showed this year even without trucks.

Honestly I dont care about the trucks, infact nats would probably be more fun if we ALL had rental cars , but seriously, its guys like Sean that have not only been around the block with these trucks, but been around the block a few times with Nats that make it worthwhile for me.

The stories and antics of the past combined with the antics (and Magnum auto-x) of each new year is what makes things fun.

Sorry I am late replying. This my truck and that picture is of my rear porpotioning valve bypass. It works like a line lock but allows all of the brake pressure to reach the rear drums instead of being diverted.

Can you say 20psi launches? If I could only hook them!!!
