2002 VS 2006 for Sy 354

Well, i was looking at some of my pics tonight (cant sleep, laptop and wireless in bed dont help :) ) and thought i throw this out for everyone to check out. I cant believe ive owned this thing (most of the time i feel like it owns me) for over 4 years already. I love my sy to death and spend far too much time and money on it, but every time i do a 4wd burnout launch, or give some noobie a ride whos idea of fast before they sat in my truck was a stock integra gsr, or getting the nods, smiles, and thumbs up that i seem to get everytime i take her out of the garage, it makes it all worth while. its funny how we get attached to material objects. My dad still owns his first car (66 chevelle he bought in May 1968) and i only hope that i can enjoy my sy that long.

anyway, mindless jabbering aside, below are 2 pics, one of the engine bay when i first bought the truck, and second is under the hood as of last week. enjoy :) some points of interested include (but not limited to :) ) turbo, idler pully setup, hydroboost, firewall. i love to look at how far ive come with this truck, and am excited to see where the next 4 years take it. btw this is my first post with pics, kinda testing it out. ive got tons more that im sure i will post if this works  tell me what you think!

did you do a wire tuck? where do the harness and sheit go?
sort of yea, the last time i had the motor out ("last time" because ive done it like 5 or 6 times now :) ) i redid what is left of the stock harness (FAST ecu) and made it all come up from the back. now it is down on top of the tranny and has a couple small looms running up to the sensors. ive also run the wiring behind the fuel rails, etc, to kinda keep it out of sight. i was going for a "doesnt look like there is as much going on in there as there really is" look.

Nice looking Sy. Running the FAST XFI huh? How do you like it? Do you tune it yourself?

Its a FAST but not xfi. older system. still bank to bank but has wb02. i love it. ive done all the tuning since ive owned the truck. the setup it had in it when i bought it was not great, and ive made so many changes ive had to keep up with it on the computer side. its pretty easy to do, but time consuming when your not doing all of it on the dyno.

impressive. a guy doing his own tuning. thats where i need to be
yea its fun, its a challenge, and its also cost me a piston or two  i learned real quick about 5 years ago ,when i put the first turbo on my crx and blew the motor apart 2 weeks later @ 15lbs on a stock bottom end, what detonation sounds like and does to engine parts.

Im hoping to be at Mason Dixon Dragway on Oct 28th to find out what all my work has accomplished. ive really got it dialed in @ 20lbs, pump gas, no alky.

dont know. when i bought the truck he was supposed to be getting married. that fell through and he bought a lingenfelter impala ss. i tried to contact him a little while ago just because he asked me to keep in touch about the truck. was gonna send him some updated pics, etc. but never heard back
