and I don't know about you guys, but sometimes it seems like it was yesterday, and sometimes it feels like it was a long time ago.

It was 2 years ago today that Dave had his accident. I still think about the accident every time i even come near a vehicle thats up on jackstands and every time i'm under a car.

Myclone...you are missed! :myclone: I would love to hear his thoughts on the newest mods that have been developed around here....
to hear some of his hysterical stories....
and just to hear another lumpy pick em up race a truck story.

Yes, it does feel like yesterday. I cant throw a jackstand under my truck without the thought of David for a moment....and I thank him for it, cause in that moment I feel him slap the back of my head and I check my stuff twice now before crawling under the truck. I used to be bad with just using a jack for doing quick stuff....I cant now.

David, your missed....certainly not forgotten. :myclone:

A few months after Dave's accident there was a group of ricers working on their Integra in the middle of the street. They had a little Wal Mart jack fully extended - no jack stands.

I became the overly responsible adult - stopped and told them Myclone's story. It may not have sunk in to all of them.

RIP man, i never met you but always enjoyed reading your stories and were a great help to everybody.
i know that Ryan called me, and i thought it was a sick joke.

Times 2 here, I use ramps alot more now too, during the times that jackstands don't seem right. Man I sure miss his outlook on some things :tup:. There are times I say to myself , What would Dave do?

I wish I could've met the guy. Must've been hard for Lisa to find him like that, and still keep in touch with a community that meant so much to him. Hope she makes it through the day ok.

i think he was on a ramp, not on jankstands. he was trying to take the transmission out, and didn't put it on the E-brake, so the connection with the drivetrain was lost. and the vehicle moved back.
but this is what i've been told.

Can't say it any better then what has been said. He was a true asset to the community. He has been & will be missed..............

I hope he is in Heaven doing boost launches as I type this.:myclone:

He was the single membe that I wanted to meet, and I never got a chance to. He was a wealth of information. He will is deeply missed. RIP

that's not what happened.

he was just under the truck quickly to check on something with the 80e in his dually...and just had the truck jacked up via the x-member, with no pad on the jack either...smooth on smooth and it slipped off the jack. :(

I being fairly new to this community never met or talked with dave but it is very sad to hear about this. He seemed like a good and funny guy from what I have always read and seen.

I have not been around here long enough to have met him,but his accident is the single reason i am super careful about my jack and jackstands now, i used to be careless and think im bullet proof.

Very sad to loose him. I wish his family well.

Dave RIP. Even though this tragedy happened to him, hopefully his cost of life for his mistake is a lesson for the rest of us! Be safe when working on any project that involves going underneith a vehicle.

Dave will not be forgotten! :myclone:
