#1922 - rebuild

Finally starting my rebuild. original block , 4bolt main caps, cryo treated crank, eagle rods, sp pistons, comp cams 412, l35 heads.

Had this stuff since 2011 decide its time to put the truck back on the road.

Srp .30 over plus eagle hbeams. Started to file to fit the rings.

Looks great! Makes me want to keep the 4.3 and rebuild it,VS, Ls engine swap. What cam n specs? Stock intake?

Check the cam its a comp cams 9-415-8, lsa 112 d 266/270 lift .334 grind 266hr. Truck has stock intake and 20g turbo with headers. Ill be using code59 to tune it and will see if i can get a aems drive shaft dyno to work on my tcase.

More measuring and cleaning. Found out i misplaced the spiral locks so no more progress until i find them or get a new set

Me too and 4 wheel chassis dyno time isn't easy to come by.

Cleaning up the backlog to get back to the typhoon project next week.

Guess it's been awhile. I did manage to piece the truck back together for about a month. Upgrade the fuel system with walbro pump and direct wiring of the power relay. Tried a aem 330'sh pump but it's amp draw was to high and fried the stock fuel pump wiring. Never did find a suitable replacement short of replacing the pump with an aftermarket drop in efi pump so I went back to the walbro. Had the truck on the road for about a 1000 miles before gremlins crept back in and some idiot decided to take out my left rear bumper clading. It's time to fix the truck and maybe sell it. Pics tomorrow. I still have not finished the orginal engine build its been on the stand for 7 years. ouch.

Full circle. Sold all my Typhoons and Syclone last year as I lost my storage. Now I’m started to sell off the left over parts. Engines, blocks, heads, intakes, front ls diff, transfer case 30 splin input shafs etc. I’ll be posting soon on the classifieds all the items I have for sale. This was as far as I got on rebuilding the original engine from this truck. Complete long lock with brodex heads ready for final assembly heads parts all came from rpm machine. I did sleave one cylinder and add 4bolt mains. It will be for sale when I list ove in classified.
