160 thermostat issue

just installed a 160 thermo but yet now it temperature gauge marks as is if ruining at normal temperature any ideas why

Gauge doesn't mean shit.What does your datalogger show?

If you are running a stock chip, I'd advise at least a 180 Degree thermostat. There are things the computer is supposed to do at from what I have been told at 180. I forget what it is though. Hopefully someone wiser than me will clear this up here.

dash gauges suck. i have a 160 and my dash temp gauges shows its only running 100* or so when the truck is actually running 165-170*.

havent had a chance to hook it up but sure will just to make sure not a bad sensor

Install a mechanical Autometer temp gauge cost about
50 bucks with gauge cup dash gauges are not accurate ..
