155 Degree Temps at end of Track

Only thing I could think of is you're filling it too fast and it's going down the overflow tube into the overflow tank. But, this should only be able to happen if your overflow tank is vented to atmosphere (that air has to go somewhere). Have you taken your radiator cap off (engine cold) to see if your radiator is full - if the radiator is low maybe it's gravity feeding what you're adding down into the radiator.

got any pics of the ATR intercooler set up and overflow tank?

My ATR intercooler has a tube from the top outlet to the overflow tank. Even with the truck warmed up, the overflow stays the same, except when the intercooler is draining into it.

I have not taken the radiator cap off. Everytime I refill the intercooler, it drains to the same level. Maybe it isn't suppose to be filled up at the neck? Puzzling obstacle I have going on here.

What are your suggestions? This is obviously not doing what it is suppose to be doing.

I would think that you need a new IC radiator cap. The seal is prolly dryrotted and allowing the coolant to escape into the overflow tank.

If you just have the stock lower CCHE,then you should know that it is crap.Putting a scoop on it will help, but IMO an ATR'ish aux IC radiator in line with the stock CCHE and a high flow pump is the way to go for keeping temps 10-15 degrees above ambient.

Jimmy,

My temps aren't that close to ambient. Bad cap? Where would I find a replacement cap for the original ATR cap?

You just have the tank, right? I'm talking about having the Aux IC radiator that goes in front of the core support. That thing rocks, keeps temps 10-20 degrees above ambient. IMO the ATR CAC tank is basically worthless by itself.

For the cap I'd just take the old one to Napa and tell them to find one that will work.

FWIW I had the same prob with the CAC draining into the overflow tank, and a new cap fixed it. Hope that's your issue.
