just wanted to share that I ran my clone at the track today with a best time of 12.87 @ 104.87 mph

mods are intake...3 bar chip set on t3 20 mode 20psi boost stock injectors with snow performance water meth kit set with the 375ml jet and 3 inch exhaust no cat

probably can get better time if I can build boost at the line, the truck wants to over power the brakes...previous owner installed baer brakes but im wondering y they don't hold as much as I think they should...

Congrats!
Post some pics of your ride.

Disc brakes have less surface area for holding.
Drum brakes have more surface area. Hence drum brakes hold better at a dead stop.

If you can add a hydra boost unit, pretty sure the discs will hold then.

60' time? Tires? Inflation? Launch psi ?

Proper boost launch?

Stock brakes can do a 15psi launch burnout.

stock brakes hold 21 psi launches with a proper working system.
can do it eery day

That also depends on if it is a healthy engine.

It is possible to hold 25 psi of boost but the engine runs like poo. Or meaning it's not healthy.

I hold 19 psi w/semi stock brakes ( approx. 420 FT LBS), I run the larger rear wheel cylinders. Maxed out @ 604 Ft LBS

I could probably hold up to 24 psi, my stock converter brake stalled to 3025 RPM @ 19 psi when I data logged it.

That 's what I'm saying. I've learned a thing or two and hooking and booking are 2 things that ain't no prob.

Re: 12.89 at 104.87

ill try n get some pics posted in the next couple days

tire pressure is just what I run on the road of 40lbs

I cant get my truck to boost at all it gets to 0 vacuum and wants to nudge forward so Idk

not sure where my a/f is at...also don't know what my timing is at because I don't software

im running 1/3 110 octane race fuel with 2/3 93 pump gas...and chip set at the t3 timing mode and 20 lb boost mode so if anyone knows what the T3 timing is then that's what im running

water meth turns on at 4lbs and maxes at 17lbs with the 375ml jet which equates to a 37.5lb injector I believe

and Its a syclone...im a truck guy :)

60ft time was 1.84

1/8 was 8.26

MPH is high for that ET, you are leaving a lot on the table (approx .3 sec.) due to an easy launch/60ft times. You have enough power to go an 11.5X

Re: 12.89 at 104.87

I can overpower the brakes with my 2.2l S-10... Until I put my man pants on and remember that a brake stall isn't a normal stop. Because its a left foot brake stand it feels different, but if your leg isn't shaking from all the pressure your putting on it your doing it wrong.

The other side of that is the throttle dance. Smash the brake down, put the truck in neutral, blip the throttle a few times (high RPM and a fully closed throttle gives more vacume, thus more power to thee brake booster), then switch back to drive and floor it. Stock brakes on all stock s-10's are mushy, if yours are firm try changing the brake fluid.

Re: 12.89 at 104.87

i will go again somtime soon n see if i can do the neutral rev for added brake power, but i feel i wont have enough time to do all that at the line before the lights start to change...but we will see what happens,

Re: 12.89 at 104.87

whats a good tuner and where can I buy it so I can monitor the a/f and adjust ignition timing

also are there any good tranny upgrade kits out there..possibly bigger or wider bands to hold more power, also the trans gears themselves, ive found torque converters already but what is the standard stall on stock torque converter 2400??

also how much power can the stock transfer case hold

my goal is 550hp + or -

also how much lift can stock valve springs handle before they bind

turbo tweak chip can adjust fuel and timing to what you want on any combo
and a scan master to monitor a/f among every sensor in the truck works wonders for viewing instant parameters with a recall feature.
