Thought I'd post up a few pics of the mods we've done to my truck over the last couple of years. Since having a couple of kids(3 & 13 Months) my spare "me" time has dramatically decreased. what used to take a couple of months ran into two years real quick. This all started 2 years back when I decided to switch the 700r4 out for a Jake's Performance 80e. That led to lots of "while I'm here why don't I".
So I ended up boxing in the back half of the frame, replaced all the crossmembers with gusseted dom, fab'd up a new aluminum baffeled 20 gallon rear tank & installed a new MagnaFuel pump & reg, installed a couple of auxiliary coolers for oil & trans fluid, added a couple of gauges, stuck on a Stef's oil pan chasing an oil leak, built a set of front a-arms with adjustable suspension limiters, added a set of zr-1 wheels for the street, & lots more minor stuff. Finally almost back together, hopefully next week get the new oil pan & the front end back in. We'll see if it made any improvements:roll:.
Just a little -12 to feed the pump:
Got the new tank to fit pretty well with the sump hidden just below the license plate:
Intercooler Tank, Fuel Tank & Battery Box:
Added a new heat shield below the intercooler:
Replaced the torsion bar crossmember, tied in my roll cage & integrated a safety loop
Boxed in the back half:
New A-arms with Grease-able Delrin Bushings & suspension limiter
