Ed I am suprised you haven't had any cooling difficulties with that air to air unit. I knew a similar truck that had that set up and he ended up moving the radiator to the bed of the truck and still couldn't solve the problems. He ended up selling it, last I heard.

Congrats on the 10's. What are your goals now? Think you can catch up to Hoover

Cooling prollems??? Oh hell no! Dont ya know ed is the MASSTER of gadgetry!!! if its got wires goin to it......it be workin allll good! Truck ran 170-180 MAYBE 182 throughout the WHOLE NIGHT, and THIS WAS @ over 75% HUMIDITY!!!!!

Ed I see another 4 tenths......REALLY SOON with the truck

Anyway, I've gotta get going to MIR this weekend....big ricer meet.....I go there to support one of our sponsors.....who hopefully this weekend...willl have the WORLDS FASTEST 4 cylinder KNOWN TO NHRA!!!

Cooling? When he came back from the pass the intercooler was luke warm to the touch. Ed Has Elec fans wired up to everything you can imagine.

Ed it appears that your are #6 on the top 10 list.

we were starting to have cooling issues BEFORE we did this. intake temps were getting to 180 at end of run.

however, at that timein front of the radiator was the following while using the flexalite s10 fan.

atr ic, ac condersor, two tranny coolers with fans, and we only had water in the radiator! now the only thing in front of the radiator is the fmic, and we have real antifreeze coolant and royl purple snake oil cooling additive in the radiator.

dont know if there is a good closeup of the new overflow aluminum tank with the side mounted site glass. fwiw you can see that i have yet to do a clean mount for the wbo2 box, and clean up the heat shiled i threw on the tb intake pipe in a last minute hurry up thing.

morgan. relax.... I was only givving you a little ribbing, but fwiw you did introduce me to him.

this thread was for me and everyone to enjoy our new success, not for someone to carry on and rant....

oh yeah i forgot, one tranny cooler with fan is now behind the bumper and the other tranny cooler is where the stock lower ic used to be. you can see it in a pic someplace around here.

Ed congrats.... we'll all be watching to see how long you can hold it together ;)

All my favorite people, for the most part are in this thread.. Keith, Morgan, Herb.. :p

I still work for a performance vendor/service facility and I still have a slow car. Its not bad though... I'm in the Prelude Owner's Association ;) kick ass!

oh, and about waiting for parts.... it sucks, but I have to wait a month and a half for my rims for my car to come over on the boat from Japan. BLING BLING CHING CHING!

Wow.....Dan, Keith, Morgan.....Where's Lee? Would be just like old times!

Dan...from what Keith told me last night, and as much driving as you do (From Manahawkin to Dynotech daily) you need a honda for reliability!

I apoligize for the Crappy Video...It was takin on my digital camera, and it is far from perfect. However it does do the Job.

Ed..Next time you head to the track give me a shout...I will try to video more runs!

What a georgeous site. Thank you for that!

Dude that mentioned MIR earlier, are you taking your SyTy there? I was thinking of showing the Supra there with my For Sale sign in the window to get some attention and I would REALLY love to see a truck while there! If you are pit crew, I can at least come say hello...or if you see the rice-mobile in my sig, come say hi to me!

Please share the reaction time with us. That turbo sounds slow to spool.

phil

as i said this is a gt40 non bb unit, so yes it is very slow to spool.

Plan is to change this out once the gt40r is released.

If i were to continue with this spool rate i will be learning to build boost by:

prestage
build boost to like 5 psi or so.
stay on throttle
then bump in to turn on bottom light.
then get on throttl the rest of the way so it hits the rev limiter before the bottom amber.

what you see in the video i am just sitting there until i hear the rev limiter so forget about reaction time till we change the unit and or i stage diferently.
