Assuming you have hydraulic lifters, properly adjusted at installation, there should be no need to periodically readjust them. The oil pressure compensates for valve train wear, unless something is catastrophically failing.
Ok yes I have hydraulic lifters and no I have perfect oil pressure. Just had someone tell me they thought the valves needed to be adjusted and I second guessed myself.
