06 Stage 2 ROUSH.

Ran into a yellow one today while picking up some parts. There was also a S/C Cobra playing around but he ended up turning off by the time we got a light. When I ran into this Roush, I thought it might give me a good one thinking it was a stage 3 w/ S/C if thats how they still work. Guess I was really wrong. We raced from about a 35 roll and I was pulling on him fairly well. We were both doing some fancy driving trying to get a light but it was proving to be difficult. We went about 7 miles down our main Rd here(Academy Blvd) which was about 5 miles out of my way from where I was going til we finally caught a light. I decided to be a cocky bastard and ask him if hes ever been beat by a truck with a V6 before. He said no and laughed saying "beat" while he was chuckling. So I spool er up and give him a healthy 4-5 out of the hole. We were towards the end of this road where it all turns into highway so we had plenty of room to stretch em out. I got up to 100 and let off. He was a good 6 cars back.

Is this a Roush truck? I saw a truck the other day in Ocean City NJ with Roush decals all over it and cladding.

Is this a Roush truck? I saw a truck the other day in Ocean City NJ with Roush decals all over it and cladding.

Damn, that Roush truck is pushing 405hp, and ran a best 1/4 mile time of 15.32 @89mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shocked!: Watch out guys I wouldn't want to see one of these on the street.

No it was a Mustang.

I havent been racing nearly as much as I did last year being that the wife always has some other plans for us. Even when we do go out its hard to find a good race these days. Im afraid the cops are suceeding with "Operation Drag Net".

Nice kill. Did anyone catch the ROUSCH special on TLC last week? It was all about Rousch and his love for Mustangs (car and WWII fighter plane). If you missed look for the re-run it was pretty good. There was history stuff but most of the show was his newer stuff includung the Mustange and F-150 trucks.

Nice kill, I am a little disappointed in the 1/4 mile time for those trucks. I figured they would be a lot faster. There is a white Roush 3 stage Lighting running around my town. I was always a little leery about runnin with him. Well I guess not now. :lol:

My co-worker with the Ford Lightning (Tim), went out pick up a 06 Stage 2 Saleen Mustang it rated at 430 hp. The guys at work keep telling him to race me to teach me a lesson and to show me that Fords are where it at. He reply is still the same,"I may be crazy but I'm not stupid".
