I am considering selling my 2005 CTS-V sedan. I have another truck listed for sale on craigslist (google search 3040185022 and the ad comes up), but one or the other needs to go. Whichever, doesn't matter to me
The car is stock except for a K&N drop in filter, and some custom machined shifter bushings my Dad made for me. The car has 182,xxx miles on it. They are 99% highway miles. I bought the car in 2009 with 99,xxx miles on it from a wholesaler who got it from the original owner. It doesn't run or drive like a high mileage car. I have waxed it regularly with the Turtle Wax Black Box.
It has the tan leather w suede interior. Its all in good condition. The heater for the passenger seat does not work and needs a new module. I know this because when i bought the car the drivers seat didn't work, so i swapped the modules from the two seats since the car has a driver much more often than a passenger
This has been an awesome car for us. I primarily drive it for work (thus all the miles). I know it will need at least one motor mount to pass inspection, and am not sure about the rest. I have replaced front and rear brakes and front shocks within the last year. I put a new starter on it shortly after buying it. I change the oil regularly with mobil 1 and quality filters.
EDIT: Some things i forgot to add.
Good -I replaced the front shocks about 4 months ago, ceramic front brake pads last weekend. At 140,000 I replaced all of the valve springs with the yellow z06 springs. I replaced the plugs then also, and replaced the plug wires last fall. About a month ago I had to replace the radiator, so I also replaced the upper and lower hose.
Bad - The passenger rear wheel is curbed pretty good, and the passenger front wheel has what looks like the clear coat peeled off in places. There is a small dent in the hood that has been there since i bought it. I had planned on doing an aftermarket hood and wheels but that day hasn't come. The radio buttons have the typical peeling of the paint.
I'm trying to include as much info as I can but I'm sure I've forgotten things. It feels like I've owned this car for a really long time, but its only been about 3 years.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Here is a link to a couple pictures I took of the car yesterday. I
