I am in the middle of a vortec conversion but found that the intake, and the 1203 gasket, ports are larger then the 2001 vortec head ports thereby leaving a ridge of about 1/16 of an inch on the vertical side of each port. Is it common to have to gasket match the head ports in order to match...
