Its still available from GM, part # 15659223. List price is $97.00 and wholesale about $70.00. You probably won't find one worth using at a salvage yard.

The old # has been replaced by 2 #'s. Container is 22127587 ($9.83) and the grommet is 22039457 ($.86). Plenty available through GM parts.

Check your codes. My ABS light came on but fortunately it was only a front wheel speed sensor--no big deal. Hopefully your control unit is OK.

Save your cab if at all possible. A good frame man can make a few pulls and usually have the cab back to pretty good shape and then of course replace what ever sheet metal is needed. The frame may also be repaired if needed--just make sure you get someone that will do a neat job.

I got my replacement cover from Summit. It's a Lund part # LND-62009-1 and it fits perfect. Looks just like the original. Heard someone say they were discontinued but I don't know for sure, they were on backorder for awhile. If you want original this is it--about $75.

You should be able to get a really good paint job done on these items for around $500--including installing and fitting the new hood. Maybe add about $75 if you want the cladding and bumper cover removed and painted off the truck, which I would recommend to avoid overspray and or tape lines. I...

Part # 24216939 has been replaced by 24220129 and stock is available from GM. Part # 24207604 according to GM, requires special handling as the replacement depends on application. This means your GM parts man has to call partech and speak to someone to get the new #. I used to be a GM parts...
