Hello,
I have a 2002 blazer of course a BS motor.
I blew both head gaskets on it with my last turbo set-up (rearmount T70 @ 12psi...) ran like stink for a year on a T04E 60trim but was on its way out when I swapped to the T70.
Anyways I am finally getting around to fixing this problem I have been having with two blown head gaskets and all lol...
I am ordering a new set of heads right now and they will be ported, with bowl work, and the proper maching to fit better valve springs + a 270ahr cam and cometic HG's and ARP head studs to fix this problem (also adding hopefully another 60whp)
The engine will be built eventually with Eagle rods, and Wiesco or JE pistons and 4-bolt mains and a marine MPFI intake manifold
I am worried about the stock crank shaft after 450whp. I know alot of you guys run stock crank shafts over the 450whp number. I am just wondering @ what point does the stock crankshaft become a time bomb.
And will nitride coating or cryotreating the crank truly benefit people over the limits of the stock crank?
