Code what?
I wanted to share my battery relocation idea with the forum judging interest in having kit's made. The details are the battery is relocated under right side of bed between the cladding and the right front leaf spring mount. Best of all it uses the factory battery tray (modified), and provides easy access for service. Requires removing cladding support bar in front of right rear tire for battery installation and removal. Installation requires cutting of both the factory battery tray and a 5"x1.5" section of front right bed support mount. Also Drilling and tapping holes Kit's will include Taylor red #4 battery cable from starter to battery with heat shielded red sleeve to protect from exhuast heat. 3/8" bolt eye cable ends (positive&ground) with heat shrinked connections. A 1' long #4 Taylor black ground cable to frame. Includes all 304 stainless mounting hardware and heavy duty Eaton cable support eye's that are tapped into the boxed section of the frame with 3/8" stainless hardware. Includes drill bit and tap in kit. Requires a side post Interstate MT-75 or close to 9-1/2" Long, 7-1/2" Tall, 7-1/2" Wide. Price will be determined with interest, I can sell cable and hardware kits only for the DIY battery tray people or you can ship me your tray and i will modify and paint sending it back with cables and hardware. Let me know what you think, right now i have the time and connections to make kits. Trying to provide an option for those who absolutly can not have their battery in the engine bay and do not like it being in the bed.
