Keep my truck as Reliable as can be.

My Syclone is my everyday driver, and I LOVE drving it. To keep it drivable, I was wanting to look into putting some reliability mods on, (tranny cooler, electric fan, etc.) before I start bolting on for speed. I just need some examples and some input of where and what reliability stuf to get. I have been saving some cash, so I am allmost ready to buy and start assembling some stuf. FUN FUN FUN!

tranny cooler, external tranny filter, stock cooling fan should be fine and you won't mess with wiring..
make sure your IC pump is working, and hot wire it..

most importantly, don't beat on it and make sure it is running right.

Vacuum lines are often over looked on stock trucks as well. They are so important to fueling & boost control, but I still see so many truck with the originals.

What is the best trans cooler to use for an every day truck, and where do i get an external trans filter? What did you mean by hot wire the IC? Sorry, I am a newbie to turbo vehicles.

Thanks, another thing, the truck needs an alignment, and I have seen on here that you need a special machine? Is that true, or do you just need the right specs? I could look em up and give them to the person I have do it. Thanks guys for your input. :D

Re: Keep my truck as Reliable as can be.

go for a TCI deep tranny pan...it'll cool it down some 20degrees. Don't forget to install a toggle switch when you hotwire, keep it off during start up.

So what's up, did you do the alignment? Let us know how it's working out for you.

I've got a Gilbert sitting on the shelf a customer ordered and then backed out. $380 shipped to the lower 48. Let me know.

Make sure you use a shop that does alignments. Real alignments. There are a lot of shops that go to the computer, put in the name of the vehicle and the computer tells them what to turn and where. They don't have to know anything and may tell you you are getting custom alignment specs but it's just what the computer told them to do to make it like a "syclone" in the computer. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Make them show you the machine.
