Ty n 10s
Body shop has been busy with the body parts...I will post more pics things progress.
Here is where the body started two years ago...TY body only on a flatbed trailer. Thanks Marty, for getting me into all this!!
Body on dolly...this as been it's home for about 1/2 of the two years. It did make it easy to move around when not needed for the building of the chassis.
New cab mounts were custom made (stock fit) by fab man Bill as was all the tub work, floor work and tweaking of the tranny tunnel to make things fit better...he does it right!
Out of the paint booth and into the post op room...
Interior was sprayed today as well as the underside...The underside is finished the same as the interior.
The wheel tubs are the orginals extended 5 inches. I wanted a softer look than the big aftermarket squared off tubs. Also the stock side panels will trim fit much better. The holes in the floor panel are for the main cage to extend to the frame. The drivers side stock rear wheel tub has anotch in it for the spare tire. A curved sphere was grafted in it place to give both sides the same look. The entire floor will be carpeted when finished...
Another angle on the interior floor panels and tub work by Bill...
I kept the stock firewall to allow for the use of the stock dash and stock carpet. I plan to keep a somewhat stock looking interior, except for the rear floor area. All the electronics and wire harness will be behind the dash.
The truck is being painted Artic White to match my other TY. The fire wall and the rest of the engine compartment is the same graphite fire-mist as the frame and cage. And yes...good, bad or different this Ty will sport the exact wing as my other one.
The final exterior paint will be applied after final assembly of chassis and cage. The doors are like new and the fenders, inner fenders, core support and tailgate are new.
