WTB: Ford SVT Bumper Cover

Got a friend who shattered the rear bumper cover on his '98 Ford SVT Contour (cold weather). Dealer wants $1,600 "IF" they can find one. This part is specific to this SVT model.

Any leads appreciated.

I know of a few people local and am a member on that forum also. I will see what I can do to help. What color is his SVT? I am betting on Silver Frost. I know it can be painted but color matching is always helpful.

Ha! It is Silver! Doesn't have to be a painted piece.

Thanks for any help. If you can post on Contour.net that would be great. Newbies can't post in classified for 30 days.

Made a few phone calls, sent a few PM's and started a thread on the other forum......just waiting to hear back from them. I will keep you posted.

I read the heading and was like oh shit i have one. BUt then i realized I have one for a SVT mustang. I might know where there is one tho. I'll keep ya posted.

I got one better for you. Its local in Allentown, PA so there will be no shipping. He "Would be willing to meet buyer halfway from a reasonable distance"

Two parties met today and part was purchased. Dude from Contour website and my friend, neither part of SyTy.net, but a match fostered by this great forum! Amazingly, in same region of state. Thanks Pelle for your help!! It's great to be a car guy! :tup:
