some where in all this messaging I saw some one had a thermostat housing with a boss on iut to mount a temp sending unit , please let me know what it off of, also spal has several units to control these fans as well as dakota digital pac-2000

No, nobody go tthe kits because we were wiating for the 5th member to come onboard. I went ahead to order the materials anyway but the supplier that bends them up for me was out of the thickness used. I said to hold off on the order then I'll be back when you get some. Well, NATS and other projects rolled around and that kept me way too busy and the kits sorta got pushed aside unintentionally. I've already begun putting the completed kits together for those that already paid thanks to an Email I recently received about them.

I have your names and will be giving you all a $50 credit for any decals that you may want in the future. I truely appologize for the delays and hope this can sort of make things right.

Jon , I have two kits that I paid for on the last run before you ran out of parts . shouldn't tose count toward the five, or how is this ,you send me the patterns and may be I could get something cranked up.

well I started this thread in May of last year and paid for the kit, and still no fan kit. So what are we going to do here, i believe I have been patient enough.

Well i had a small supply of fans that i have since sold, but i am looking into taking the extra mounting kit i bought for my GT and copying it and making the mounting kits avaiable again. Probably be in the same price range, my initial calculations based on material and time involved to make the upper and lower plate and the needed hardware puts me around 75 bucks shipped.

If there is truly enough interested, i can have some kits completed and ready to ship in 2-3 weeks.

Either PM me or email me at HotRodV6@aol.com if your interested in buying the mounting kit, and if i can get atleast 5 or so people i will go ahead and buy the material and make this happen.


Im also trying to find a new source for the volvo fan assemblys, but since it has been a few years since the actual recall was performed, they are getting harder to find.

White on white but lately its been Colorado Brown! I can't believe how dirty these things get in the winter. I saw your spotted thread but that wasn't me. Pretty rare these days to see one here in Denver.

Ah they are not that rare, i see them around here and there. I have seen some nasty ones (pearl emerald green, missing cladding, orange peele, and the REAR wheels on the front LOL). The other day I saw one guy who spoke NO english driving a ty with some "ranchero" flavor and another "Homie" with some 20z on his.

I ran into one at the COAA but didnt buy it because i am hell bent on an SRT8.

I feel ya buddy, I had to wait EIGHT MONTHS for an air craft material motor tie down (thought not from John but a fellow board member), and the only reason he even sent it was because I kept sending him nasty emails. I personally do not know John but he used to be pretty reputable, not sure what happened. But I can really care less for an appology or an excuse, i just want my damn fan kit!

Well i too had to wait for awhile when i ordered my fan kits from John, i had sent him a MO but he forgot he ever got it, so i had to go thru the post office and file for a lost MO, which cost 4 bucks, and they sent me a printout with a copy of the front and back of the cashed MO, which i then had to mail to john to prove he got it, and ways it took me in all almost 3 months to get the kits.

Im very happy with the quality of the kits, and ita a great design.

Im not sure what happen to him either, he hasnt been around much lately, and im very sorry for you guys that have paid for a kit and not gotten anything, i am going to be making the kits available again here real soon, should be less than a month and ill have kits ready to ship.
