This is a follow up to Stock Turbo Syclone first passes and Syclone dies when FP line off
Originally I planned on going in late September, so I could make some more changes. One of the items I wanted to cure was the hard start when the Sy sits using E85. All I managed to do was turn the idle dial to 9 on the TT for 3% more fuel at start up and while I was doing that, I turned the secondary program on for alcohol. The Sy hasn't sat much since I've done it so, I do not know if that was enough fuel for it to start more easily.
On the TT forums, Eric made some recommendations given my duty cycle was near 100% with 60 lb injectors. I did not turn the boost up as he suggested, I only changed using the alcohol. Admittedly, I have not used it before. I have datamaster files, if anyone wants to review and comment on them.
In short, the Syclone ran about the same times except the last two that were a touch quicker despite it being about 15 degrees cooler, low humidity, and using alcohol. Although the times were similar, or slightly quicker I did get a lot more knock than I did without using alcohol. First the times, then my questions.

Datamaster files show knock in just about in every gear. 2nd gear was usually the cleanest. Most of it is 1 - 2 degrees. Sometimes it was as high as 3.5. The highest was 7. Compared to my previous track day that was much hotter and with high humidity, the most knock I saw was 1-2 degrees in 3rd and OD. I did not have any in 1st and 2nd before.
I changed the idle dial for additional 3%, so naturally the fuel table is 3% richer correct?
Using alcohol, how much should I back out of the fuel?
Can there be too much fuel causing knock?
For 1 and 2 Parameters. I thought the lower number (ie 120 or 115 was removing fuel) was a reduction in fuel. I saw more knock, so I changed it back to 122's towards the end. Was I originally adding fuel?
The table on the back of the TT instructions showed a negative number when it comes to fuel when going to a lower number like 128 to 120. I think I might have confused myself because that looked more rich to me where lean is green on datamaster, correct?
AFR was set at 11.5. Truck had about 15-16 lbs of boost. The first pass was at 4 on the gain box. I played around with it a little, but it seemed to like the 3 the best. Either way, the results were not what I was expecting. I think if I would have left it on the original program and raced it like I did a month ago, I would have seen even quicker times.
The plugs were gapped at .028. Eric recommended .025 with more boost and alcohol. I do not remember what plug is in the truck.
