52 classes with 3 trophies each.
Dash Plaque to all entrants.

It's a pretty big turn out usually and I expect this year to be bigger than ever since it's the 25th year. I took 1st in my class with SoGT#549 years ago and I'll have the SY and possibly SoGT#370 there this year. It'd be kinda cool to see a decent turnout of SyTy representation.

ALSO... I haven't checked for sure yet but I plan to be at Gateway Raceway the first Tuesday of each month to test and tune the SY. I'll try to verify that tuesday nights are for grudge racing, anything goes... well almost.

Anyone interested in either events PLEASE send me a PM and we'll work soemthing out.

Jon,

I don't think my Ty will be back together by then, but I may be able to swing by.
Tuesday night is test n tune foir street radials.
Expect long lines and lots of rice.
Last time we went I got 3 runs in ~5 hours.

Wednesday night is slick night.

It'd be cool if you stopped by, lots of cars.
Last year when I went I got 6 passes and took plenty of time to myself between runs. I guess it depends a little on luck to get there on a slow week.

So this is a pretty big show? I wouldnt mind coming down (not in the Ty) if I dont work that weekend as long as I get so see some syty's. Maybe that will help keep me motivated. :)

Well, the show isn't as big as it used to be but it seems that they are gearing up to make it one of the biggest in southern IL again since this is the 25th year. Flyers are being mailed out to past years participants which I don't think happened in the last few years. I saw my first SY at this show back in '93 but haven't seen it again since. That Teal/Gray TY has always ben there but I think it finally sold. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Last year I think there were about 180 cars, I'm not sure but I heard them say that they ran out of dash plaques at 175. I can guarantee that you will see at least ONE sy and TWO SoGT's, just stop by my house about 4 blocks away. SyTy'ers are more than welcome to use my home as a place to sit back and relax for a few if needed.
