We have advertised that the Nov 1-4 dates were tentative. Hood and I have been discussing the dates for Shindig for a few weeks now and have been in talks with various people to get solid dates set.

Due to some scheduling with the SCCA along with a few sponsors/vendors and not to clash with SEMA, we've decided to go ahead and bump the dates to:

NOVEMBER 15th - 18th

We understand this creeps a bit closer to Thanksgiving time, but in order to keep rates within reason and to keep in schedule with other events, this would be the best time. If you have marked your calendars for Nov 1-4, please scratch it out and make the change now.

We'll be updating the dates on the site, forum, facebook, etc.

At this point, yes. Our goal was to run inline with the local SCCA group for the autoX to reduce the costs, otherwise we would have had to rent the equipment/people and gotten clearance from the port authority (where the track is located). Their event is the weekend of the 15-18th. This was actually one of the biggest factors in moving the date.

SEMA was also clashing with the 1-4 dates as well. We loose out with some potential sponsors and people who couldnt do both so it worked out better that the date was moved.

Since Bucc Region SCCA is running an event that weekend, Saturday is practice (our day to race for Shindig) and Sunday is a SCCA points day. So there is a bonus for those who want to hang around Sunday and put in some more time autoXing. Just note, that if you wanted to race on Sunday, classifications wont be as lax as we'll have it for just Shindig. You will have to go through SCCA tech (shouldnt be a prob if you ran on Saturday) and will be classed correctly. If you are a stock truck, you are F-Stock, modified you fall into ESP or SM/SSM etc, depending on your mods. Also, there is a totally separate cost to pay for racing on Sunday that is not associated with Shindig. It will be $30-45, which is standard SCCA cost.

Well back to the vacation schedule it is, and pray there is an opening. Usually people at work burn up vacation early on in the year so it shouldn't be a problem.

You have to change the banner ad at the top, it still says 1-4
