What did you break? Post it up.

I think I ate a couple main bearings. I knew it was hurt before we loaded up to come down. Disappointed in the times at the track, but the autocross was well worth it!

Ill have the oil pan and crank out of it this weekend, hopefully throw a fresh set of bearings in it and drop it back in (unless someone wants to sponsor my 408ci 91mm turbo build )

Not sure what the issue is but I wanted to give you props on not ****ing around . I know I wouldn't have had the motor pulled yet . Hell , it took me longer to have the windshield fixed after '09 and that was just making a phone call . lol
Sounded great at Nats either way , I hope for the wallets sake its something small and easy .

Shit, its an LS man, even if it needs a crank, a steel one is only $800 from Summit

fki tweaked my tranny cooler, broke its bracket, burnt 3 fuse holders, fan took a dump, fried some wiring, thermostat stuck closed. all pretty minor, but all annoying.

Cap, Rotor, Coil, Ignition module, and bad knock sensor. All minor stuff in scheme of things.

Had to scramble to find a fpr in BG.thanks to Nick and AJ for their help and Jim Minton for taking me to O'Riely's to get one. Then on the way home, the ecm acted up and came all the way home in limp mode. But it was still a great trip.

I left Los Angeles with what I thought was a well-sorted, fully functioning Syclone. These stupid trucks.

On sat. night, I developed a slight leak in my turbo coolant feed line. By the time I loaded it on the trailer sun. morning, it was a pretty good drip. I am damn glad I decided not to drive the truck to nats. Like I told DaveP at nats, this coolant leak is the perfect excuse to go for the LS swap. Maybe later. The leak has been fixed now.

I heard you saying that and agree . Next to low tire pressure , a bad coolant line is the best reason to convert to a LS v8 swap . ;)

Typhoon guys have it easier. A rattling rear window is all the motivation needed to swap to LS.

Re: Nats Carnage Pics

Pulled mine apart yesterday. The mains are gone, down past the copper. Rods look new other than material they passed, and somehow it didn't spin any mains. Dropping off my other crank this week to have it checked since this one was already 10 under.

Going with a high volume oil pump while its apart, throw the other crank in it and a fresh set of bearings and hopefully be back on the road by months end.
