For a while I've been noticing those novelty street signs that can be customized with your name on them. For the prices they tend to retail for, they seem very mediocre to me and arent the quality I would expect for that price. Today as I was driving around, I noted the materials that official DOT street signs were made out of and have come up with something i'm happy with.
I'll gladly offer these up for sale if anyone wants any of them. These are official DOT grade signs. These are REAL SIGNS! The real, official font, the real, official aluminum, the real, official reflective. If you got up on a ladder and took down a street sign (not reccomended) you couldn't tell the difference between that one and my signs. :tup:
These signs, of course are more expensive than your average novelty signs, but if you really want an official sign replica, this is the best value you can get... A great conversation piece.. come up with some crazy story about how you discovered the sign and jacked it, no one will know...
Ok i'll show off some eye candy and some prices...as there are 2 models available. Both of which I've seen on real poles in my area.
FLAT SIGN: $50 for reflective white lettering on a reflective green sign (official colors, and made with the official FHWA Font Double Sided) Ive seen these on side streets that arent main roads...
EXTRUDED SIGN: $60 for reflective white lettering on a reflective green sign (official colors, and made with the official FHWA Font Double Sided) I've seen these on main roads, or just the roads that matter more than the side streets lol
***Both signs require a Shipping cost of $10 (sorry guys but theyre big)
I made these as a project for myself but I was so impressed by the result I had to share it.
To order send me the payment through paypal (plus an extra 2.00 for paypal fees) and tell me in a note what you want the sign to say... go with maybe like a max of 8 characters and then your choice of AVE (avenue), CT (court), DR (drive), LN (lane), PL (place), RD (road), SQ (square), ST (street), TER (terrace), or TR (trail)
I assume no responsibility for what the signs are used for after they leave my hands, I'm offering them as a novelty item to be used as a decoration. If you have permission from officials to use these signs on public roads, they are of the quality to do the part. If anything illegal is done with these signs...i take no responsibility for it, you're all big boys and girls now.
