So i did try a different actuator, no increase, so i cranked the rod down a few turns and it only increased to about 5.6-6. that was with about a whole pins worth of overlap. not 1/6 to half but the whole pin. Guessing im lucky and have a warped or chunked wastegate puck. it drives fine for now...

If it’s shot why does it boost much higher if the boost reference unplugged?

Too long would hold it open no? You mean 1/2 hole too short so it has to be pulled to go onto the pin?

Ok soon bypassed the boost solonoid and connected the boost reference from the turbo straight to wastegate. Nothing changed got 3.6 psi max on the scanmaster and the auto meter guage matched, just under 4psi. So that really can only mean the actuator is trashed? Doing the tests in the typhoon...

yes wastegate moves freely.

have autometer boost and fuel pressure. and a scanmaster G i will try that

Also to add, my memcal is the BBZB if that matters. I guess my next steps are to change my intake gaskets, thermostat just to put a lower temp in. and rebuild the distributor. i will also check the balancer for incorrect timing. I just dont get it. it runs so nice, has great power out of boost...
