I forgot to ask/check if the stock pulley and the AD244 were the same size.
I don't think the serpentine belt requires replacement but I no longer have an OEM alternator to check.

The driver's side sleeve needed to be cut down for alternator hold down bracket as the new alternator fills more of the area.

If the pumped stopped several times because fuel was at the top of the filler tube then its the vent line.
If the gas dumped on the ground then its the fuel nozzle's fault.

I have not heard of a tach slipping.
I have taken mine out on numerous occasions for white face gauges, odometer quit working, trip meter quit working, ect....
You will have to completely remove from the vehicle to pull off the glass.

Pull the RPM needle off and re-adjust with the engine running. If you take the glass/plastic off of the instrument cluster and reinstall the cluster you can go for a test spin to verify proper orientation of the needle.
The odometer motor has a bad gear in it...

Does the tach read the same amount wrong all thru the range of the engine RPM?
The speedometer/odometer/tripometer all get the same signal.
